Below are some of the key features for carers : -

4.5 million people to be vaccinated including those over 18’s, 16-17 year old frontline workers, unpaid carers and those with underlying health conditions

400,000 people to be vaccinated each week from 01 Feb

National booking service available from 01 Feb, and then online too. After you receive your letter you can book your appointment

1.1 million unpaid Carers are in Category 6 of the Joint Committee of Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI)

If you are in one of the other JCVI priority groups you will be contacted by letter or by telephone. They are also putting in place arrangements to allow you to reschedule your appointment on line, or over the telephone if the date and/or time you’re given doesn’t suit you.

According to their plan unpaid carers should receive the first vaccine by May 2021
