Neurological Alliance of Scotland - Information for Unpaid Carers and Professionals

The Neurological Alliance of Scotland has over 50 charity members, all of whom offer support for carers in some form such as, information, advice, support groups, helplines and other services. The new resource, Information for Unpaid Carers and Professionals, is intended to give an overview of some of the most common neurological conditions and signpost readers to their members who offer support.

The resource also includes information on carer centres and NCOs to help readers access specific support for unpaid carers, and to help carer centre staff have a handy directory of relevant organisations.

The resource is interactive with links to websites and external information and resources.

Within the leaflet you will find:

  1. Neurological conditions A-Z (list of neurological conditions that are supported by member charities of the Neurological Alliance of Scotland)
  2. General neurological therapy centres and support networks (broader support for neurological conditions from members of the Neurological Alliance of Scotland)
  3. Local carer centres (listed alphabetically by region)
  4. National Carer Organisations
  5. Further information and resources
  6. Directory of our charity members

Neurological Alliance of Scotland would like to extend a special thanks to Penny Earle from Connecting Carers, and Carolanne Christie from Lanarkshire Carers Together, for their invaluable expertise and guidance in the development of the resource.
