Ferry vouchers for concessionary travellers
Are you entitled to free ferry travel through the national concessionary travel scheme? Do you receive ferry vouchers providing you with two free return trips from Shetland to the mainland?
If so, Transport Scotland is keen to hear from you!
If the above applies to you, Transport Scotland is keen to hear from you about a change they will be introducing.
In the future, rather than getting paper ferry vouchers, your vouchers will be stored on your National Entitlement Card, which you might know as your 'bus pass' or 'Saltirecard', or (if you're aged 16-18) your 'Young Scot' card.
There are various ways that this will happen and researchers from Transport Scotland are looking for volunteers to check over the options to help make sure they will work for everyone.
Be a volunteer
It will take about 30 minutes to give your feedback. If you have access to the internet, researchers would like to have an online video call with you between now and 16th June.
Alternatively, Transport Scotland will also be in Shetland in July for those without internet access. They will arrange days and times to suit you. Please get in touch with Sally Shaw (details below) by 30th June if you are interested in meeting up in person.
Get involved
Your feedback is important and will be welcomed. To find out more, please contact the researcher, Sally Shaw, at sally.shaw@transport.gov.scot or by phone/text at 07391 101 896 as soon as possible!
Thank you.
