In case you have missed them these resources can be seen below. : -
1. If you are an unpaid carer in Scotland, you have a number of specific and universal rights which can help you in your caring role.
2. Around 1.1 million people in Scotland are currently providing care to a family member or friend. If you are unpaid carer in Scotland, the Carers ( Scotland) Act gives you a number of specific rights.

3. All unpaid carers in Scotland have the right to request an Adult Carer Support Plan (or a Young Carer Statement if under 18).
4. If the person you are providing care to goes into hospital you have the right to be included discussions about their return home from hospital.
5. If your local authority provides services to you as a carer, you have the right to choose how these are organised. Carers cannot be charged for any services or support for themselves.
6. If you are struggling to manage your caring role alongside paid employment, there are some key rights that you have as an employee. Get in touch with colleages @CarerPositive to find out more http://www.carerpositive.org
7. You have the right to complain if you are unhappy with any decision or action that your local authority or NHS board make about the care or service you (or the person you are caring for) receive.
