They are now welcoming stakeholders from the remaining areas, or those who were unable to attend their previous events, to sign up for one of their free online information sessions on this new benefit.

The purpose of these events is to make sure you and the people you support have all the relevant information you need about Carer Support Payment. This will include how it will be different from Carer’s Allowance and how the service will be delivered in Scotland by Social Security Scotland.

You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have from the people who have designed the Carer Support Payment service, including policy colleagues in the Scottish Government.

These events will include a general overview of Carer Support Payment and how it will be delivered including the following information:

• The policy, eligibility criteria, and benefit rules

• The application process, including channels and support available

• How we will make determinations and payments

• How we will communicate with our clients

• Reporting a change of circumstances

• Interactions with other benefits

• Re-determinations and appeals

• Signposting to further information including stakeholder toolkit and resources
