Sibling Group Sessions
We run a monthly group on a Saturday morning from 10.45 - 12.45 for young people who have a sibling with Additional Support Needs or possibly carrying out a small caring role for a parent.
This group is to specifically designed so that children can have time out from their sibling. It is timed so that it fits with the drop off and pick ups for the Ability Shetland Saturday Club, so that once a month parents can also have some respite time!
We always have lots of ideas for activities, from arts and crafts, to board games, to cooking, to going for a walk, plus lots more! Usually these will be decided on the day, but if you have a great idea that you would like to do, let Laura know beforehand on [email protected] or 01595 743946.
Please see Family Days events tab for more information about activities you can bring the whole family to.
- Saturday 1st August 2020, 10am-12pm - Pottery Painting at Aa Fired Up! This is our first face to face group of the holidays. Come along to paint your own masterpiece!
In line with Aa Fired Up’s guidelines, young people will have to wear a mask/face covering until they are seated, and use hand sanitizer when arriving at the shop. It will be table service, and young people will be asked to stay in their seats unless further guidance is given by Aa Fired Up staff.
Young people should only attend if they, or anyone in their household, do not have a high temperature, a change in taste or smell, or a new continuous cough. Please help keep us all safe.
New consent forms will need to be completed (electronically if possible) and a disclaimer signed to say that they don’t have any symptoms.
Places must be booked by emailing Laura on [email protected] by Friday 31st July 2020.
