Sibling Group Sessions
We run a monthly group on a Saturday morning from 10.45 - 12.45 for young people who have a sibling with Additional Support Needs or possibly carrying out a small caring role for a parent.
This group is to specifically designed so that children can have time out from their sibling. It is timed so that it fits with the drop off and pick ups for the Ability Shetland Saturday Club, so that once a month parents can also have some respite time!
We always have lots of ideas for activities, from arts and crafts, to board games, to cooking, to going for a walk, plus lots more! Usually these will be decided on the day, but if you have a great idea that you would like to do, let Laura know beforehand on [email protected] or 01595 743946.
Please see Family Days events tab for more information about activities you can bring the whole family to.
- Saturday 27th November 2021. Fun Games Session on Zoom!
Please bear with us as we need to make sure we adhere to current guidelines and restrictions. More information about each session will be given closer to the time.
Young people should only attend if they, or anyone in their household, do not have a high temperature, a change in taste or smell, or a new continuous cough. In line with current NHS Shetland advice, it would be best to not attend the group if you have been off island in the last fortnight. Please help keep us all safe.
Consent forms will need to be completed (electronically if possible) and a disclaimer signed to say that they don’t have any symptoms. You will be asked to confirm there are no symptoms on the day as well.
Places must be booked by emailing [email protected] by the Friday before each session.
