Getting Transitions Rights

Rebecca Williams, ARC Scotland will be in Shetland on Monday 4 & Tuesday 5 March to deliver a one day workshop each day on ‘Getting Transitions Right’, from 9am – 4pm at the Radio Room, Islesburgh. Please note there are 16 places available each day.

For parents / carers who wish to find out more there will be an Information Session ‘Transitions: Understanding your role’ available for parent/carers who are interested to find out more, and who are not able to undertake the full day workshop, which will also be in the side hall at the Baptist Church at Quoys between 6 – 7.30pm on Tuesday 5 March. The session will cover:

  • Introduction to transitions
  • Personal experience
  • Principles of Good Transitions
  • Legislation and rights
  • ILF Transitions Fund
  • Resources

This session will be more informal than the workshop, and whilst there is a set presentation prepared, there will also be space to allow parents to reflect on their own experiences if they want, and make sure they have answers to any/all of their questions, so they get the most value out of the session.

Anyone interested in attending please email: CommunityCareAdmin@shetland.gov.uk
